Real training. Real results.

We'd rather show you what we've done than tell you how good we are. These are real stories from employers across the North East — the challenges they faced, the training we delivered, and the measurable difference it made. No hype. No box-ticking. Just evidence.

Outcomes & Impact

Outcomes that come from sector-specific training

Anyone can say their training works. We'd rather prove it.

Every programme UTraining delivers is built around measurable outcomes — not just completion certificates but real changes in how a business performs. Whether that's fewer defects on a production line, better retention of skilled staff, or a team that can spot waste and do something about it, we track the things that matter to you.

These numbers aren't from a marketing brochure. They're from real work with real employers across the North East:

CASE STUDY

What you'll find in each case study

Every case study on this page follows the same structure — so you can quickly find the information that matters to you and compare like with like.

Each case study includes:

  1. Employer name and sector — who we worked with and what industry they're in (listed as 'Confidential' where the employer prefers not to be named)

  2. The challenge — what the employer was facing before training. Real problems, not generic ones.

  3. The solution — what UTraining delivered. The programme, the approach, the timeline.

  4. The results — what changed. Specific metrics: percentage improvements, timeframes, business impact. Not vague claims — numbers.

  5. The testimonial — a quote from the employer or learner about their experience. In their words.

  6. Read the full story — a link to a detailed case study page or expanded view with more context.

What we measure

Training should change something — a process, a behaviour, a number. If it doesn't, it hasn't worked. That's why we track impact across the areas that matter most to employers.

We're building our impact measurement framework around the following categories. Some of these we already track across our programmes. Others we're developing as we grow our BIT Level 3 and qualification-based programmes, where learners demonstrate impact in Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery as part of their assessment.

Safety

  • What we track: Incident rates, near-miss reporting, safety compliance improvements

  • How we measure it: Pre/post training comparison, employer safety KPIs, learner demonstration of safe working practices

  • Programme focus: BIT Level 3, Construction, Manufacturing

Quality

  • What we track: Defect rates, rework costs, first-pass yield, error reduction

  • How we measure it: Pre/post improvement data, employer quality KPIs, learner improvement projects as part of assessment

Cost

  • What we track: Cost savings from process improvements, reduced waste, efficiency gains

  • How we measure it: Employer-reported savings, ROI calculation, waste reduction metrics
