More than a training provider. A workforce development partner.

We work with employers long-term — learning your business, measuring impact, and building development pipelines that strengthen your team over time. Not a one-off course. A relationship that gets better the longer it runs.

75% of our employers come back. 95% completion and achievement. Matrix Standard accredited. Delivering across the North East

WHY US

Why partner with UTraining?

Most training providers sell you a course, deliver it, and move on. We don't work that way. We partner with employers who want something more — training that's tied to real business outcomes, delivered by people who understand your operation, and built to compound over time.

75% of our business comes from repeat clients. That's not a marketing line. It's the proof that the partnership model works. Employers come back because the first programme delivered something worth repeating — and because working with us gets easier and more effective the longer the relationship runs.

We learn your business

Before we design anything, we take time to understand your processes, your culture, your challenges and your goals. We're not parachuting in with a generic package — we're embedding in how you actually work. The better we know your operation, the more relevant the training becomes.

We measure impact, not just completion

A completion certificate is a baseline, not a result. We agree what success looks like before we start — productivity, quality, retention, cost — and measure against it. If the training isn't translating into something you can see, we want to know why and fix it.

We build pipelines, not one-off courses

A single course can solve an immediate gap. A development pipeline builds capability over time. We help employers plan sequenced pathways — onboarding to upskilling, awareness to qualification, team member to team leader — so training accumulates into real workforce strength.

Small-team agility

You deal with people who can make decisions quickly — not a layer of account managers and approval chains. Personal service, fast responses, and a genuine partner approach. When something needs to change mid-programme, we change it. No bureaucracy, no delay.

We work alongside your in-house team

Already have someone handling training internally? We're not here to replace them. We augment your existing L&D function — bringing specialist expertise, extra capacity, and additional bandwidth when your team is stretched. Think of us as an extension of your training team, not a takeover.

Your branding, your language, your terminology

We design every programme in your voice. Your processes, your acronyms, your way of describing things — woven through the materials so learners experience it as your training, not a course bolted on from outside. It feels seamless because it is.

Locally rooted in the North East

We're based in Newcastle and we understand the regional business landscape — the sectors, the challenges, the employers, the funding environment. We're not a national provider treating the North East as a territory. We live and work here. Our partners are our neighbours.

Quality-assured and trusted

Matrix Standard accredited. Cyber Essentials Plus certified. Disability Confident Employer. Carbon-neutral operations. Our standards are inspected and proven — not just claimed. When you partner with us, you're partnering with an organisation that has already been held to account on quality, safeguarding, and information security.

Green Circular Economy by default

All our provision embeds Green Circular Economy principles unless you specifically request otherwise. So your training doesn't just develop your people — it supports your sustainability goals at the same time. No extra cost, no separate module. Just built in.

PARTNERSHIPS PATHWAY

How you can work with us

There's no single way to partner with UTraining. Some employers start with one programme and grow from there. Others come to us with a multi-year workforce development plan. Below are the different pathways — most employers combine two or more over time.

Bespoke Training

Programmes designed from scratch around your processes, your workplace and your people. Built in your language, aligned to your goals, focused on measurable impact. The starting point for most employer partnerships.

Learn More

Commercial Training

Pre-built, accredited courses with set curricula — Lean Academy modules, online courses, and recognised qualifications. Faster to deploy, clear pricing, ready to book. Ideal when you need something proven and quick to schedule.

Learn More

Workforce Development

Government-funded upskilling programmes for your existing staff. We handle the funding, the compliance and the delivery — you get capability improvements at a fraction of the commercial cost. A practical way to invest in your team without absorbing the full cost.

Learn More

Pre-Employment Recruitment

We train and pre-screen candidates for your vacancies — then put the best ones forward for work trials and job offers. You get motivated, prepared candidates who already understand your sector. A recruitment pipeline, not just a training course.

Learn More

On-Site Delivery

We bring the training to your workplace. No travel time, no venue costs, no disruption to operations. Learners train in the environment they'll be working in, using real examples from their own job. The most practical way to deliver — and the most effective.

Learn More

Consultancy

Diagnostics, performance improvement and embedding better practices. Not training delivery — hands-on support to identify what's holding your operation back and work with your team to fix it. Often the first step before a training programme is designed.

the PARTNERSHIP journey

What partnership looks like in practice

This isn't a transaction. It's a relationship — one that gets stronger the longer it runs. Here's what the journey typically looks like.

  • A no-obligation conversation about your business, your team and what you're trying to achieve. We'll listen, ask questions, and give you an honest assessment of whether we're the right partner — and if we're not, we'll tell you. No hard sell, no pressure, no jargon.

  • If we move forward, we take time to understand your operation in depth — your processes, your culture, your challenges, your goals, your terminology. We meet your team, walk your floor, and get under the skin of how things actually work. This is what makes everything that follows relevant.

  • Based on what we've learned, we design a programme or pathway that fits — not a template with your logo on it. We'll propose the right mix of pathways, the right delivery model, the right outcomes to measure. You review, you approve, we refine until it's right.

  • We deliver the training 100% face-to-face, on your site or at a venue that suits you. Throughout delivery, we track progress against the outcomes we agreed — not just attendance and completion, but real indicators of impact. You stay informed at every stage.

  • After each programme, we sit down with you and review what worked, what changed, and what to do next. This is where the partnership compounds — each review informs the next programme, making it tighter, more relevant and more effective.

  • Most of our employer partnerships don't end after one programme. They evolve. Employers come back for the next cohort, the next skill area, the next challenge. The relationship gets easier over time because we already know your business — and that institutional knowledge means every new programme starts from a higher baseline.

the PARTNERSHIP journey

Become a partner

Getting started is straightforward — and there's no obligation at any stage. Here's how it works

  • Email, call, or use the form below. Tell us a bit about your business and what you're hoping to achieve — even if it's just a vague sense that something needs to improve. We'll take it from there.

  • A no-obligation discussion — typically 30-45 minutes — where we learn about your operation and you learn about how we work. No pitch deck, no hard sell. Just an honest conversation about whether there's a fit.

  • If it makes sense to move forward, we take a deeper look at your challenges, your team, your processes and your goals. This is where we start learning your business — and where we identify the right pathway (or combination of pathways) for you.

  • We put together a proposed approach — what we'd deliver, how, when, and what outcomes we'd measure against. You review it, you shape it, you approve it. Nothing starts until you're comfortable.

  • Programme delivery begins. From there, the partnership evolves — each programme informed by the last, each review sharpening the next. That's the model. That's why employers come back.

  • If you're interested in the pre-employment recruitment pathway, there's one additional requirement:

Employers partnering on pre-employment programmes agree to provide recruitment support, work trials, and job offers for successful programme completers. This ensures the training leads to real outcomes — not just certificates. We'll discuss the specifics during the initial conversation.
