Course Overview
This qualification offers the opportunity for learners to demonstrate understanding and knowledge required when looking to work within engineering and manufacturing or any idustrialised sector. This will cover health and safety, communication, effective working, working relationship as well as employment rights and responsibilities.
Achievement of the qualification will confirm understanding and occupational competence in the following areas, achieved within a manufacturing or engineering environment:

Effective working and relationships in the workplace

Communication in the workplace

Health and safety in the workplace

Employment rights and responsibilities in the workplace
Eligibility Criteria:

Must be aged 19 or over on 31 August 2025.

Must live in a postcode area of Gateshead, Sunderland, South Tyneside, County Durham, North Tyneside, or Northumberland.

Must have been resident in the UK for at least 3 years before starting the course.
This course enables you to gain the following qualification:

Level 2 Award in Industrial Environmental Awareness.
